Tai Chi is based on the Tai Chi and Yin-Yang dialectical concepts in traditional Chinese Confucian and Taoist philosophy as its core ideas. It integrates the changes of Yin-Yang and the five elements of Yi Jing to cultivate temperament, strengthen the body, combine the changes of Yin-Yang and the Five Elements of Yi, the meridian science of traditional Chinese medicine, and the ancient Dao yin and Breathing techniques. It is both internal and external, soft, slow, light and flexible, and combines hardness and softness.


Yoga for Health

Lena has a strong academic and professional foundation in Traditional Chinese health preservation and therapeutic movement. She completed her graduate studies in Traditional Chinese Health Care in China, where she trained under Professor Dinghai Yu, the founder of Health Qigong – Wu Qin Xi (Five Animal Frolics). During her graduate, she continued in-depth study and research in Dao Yin, Tai Chi, and Qigong, developing specialized expertise in movement-based therapy, rehabilitation, and preventive wellness.

She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine, further integrating Traditional Chinese Medicine with modern clinical practice.

She started practicing martial arts at the age of seven and was once martial arts champion in China.

Si Fu Liu is a dedicated practitioner and instructor of traditional Chinese internal martial arts with over 30 years of training in Tai Chi and Qigong and more than 20 years of teaching experience in both China and the United States.

He is a twelfth-generation lineage holder of Chen Style Tai Chi and a third-generation successor of Chen Style Xin Yi Hun Yuan Tai Chi, the system founded by Grandmaster Feng Zhiqiang. This unique system emphasizes strength balanced with relaxation, softness with structure, circular movement, internal stillness, and health cultivation.

Yifan Liu, L.Ac.

Licensed Acupuncturist California Board Certified

Yifan Liu is a California board-certified and licensed acupuncturist with extensive training in Traditional Chinese Medicine and pain management. He earned his Master’s degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from South Baylo University in the United States and his Bachelor’s degree in Acupuncture and Tui Na from Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in China.

With a strong clinical focus on pain relief, rehabilitation, and integrative care, Yifan is also among the first group of practitioners certified by the Shandong Department of Pain Management in China. His treatment approach combines classical acupuncture, Tui Na therapy, and modern pain science to provide effective, patient-centered results.

In addition to his medical background, Yifan has practiced Chinese martial arts for over 30 years, beginning training at the age of six. He is a master practitioner of Wushu, Tai Chi, and Qi Gong, and has been teaching martial arts in San Diego for more than a decade. His deep understanding of movement, posture, and body mechanics enhances his clinical expertise in musculoskeletal health and injury recovery.

Yifan has also served as the Head Judge of the California International Wushu Competition, reflecting his leadership and recognition within the martial arts community.
