Tai Chi is based on the Tai Chi and Yin-Yang dialectical concepts in traditional Chinese Confucian and Taoist philosophy as its core ideas. It integrates the changes of Yin-Yang and the five elements of Yi Jing to cultivate temperament, strengthen the body, combine the changes of Yin-Yang and the Five Elements of Yi, the meridian science of traditional Chinese medicine, and the ancient Dao yin and Breathing techniques. It is both internal and external, soft, slow, light and flexible, and combines hardness and softness.
